Ocean Wave wreck tied to 1868 lake storm return
A Cedar Rapids alert reports Joseph Burianek Jr in Mercy hospital with typhoid related fears, later thought not severe. The note recalls the Ocean Wave disaster of 1868 when thirty five passengers perished in Lake Pepin during a violent gale as water levels reveal the tragic wreck near early river history.
