Fayette county politics and a violent family episode
The Fayette County piece laments long political schedules hindering campaigns and predicts renewed interest by mid October as voters await the finishing stretch. It notes contentious remarks during an exchange between Frank Hobson and Talmadge and hints at forthcoming local political disclosures. Max Bysong, a Windsor Township resident, assaults his father with a club and fork, injuring him severely. Max is described as a long-time offender with multiple prior trials, and there is a call for a strict sentencing to prevent further crimes. The article adds local color about Growler's Gulch residents and references John Shaffer’s Fayette County Fair exhibit of cattle and horses with prizes mentioned.
