A Clermont public schools flag raising program on Tuesday September 12 featured the band invocation and readings led by Rev A O Nesset. Students joined in America the Beautiful Our Flag and The Star Spangled Banner with a pledge of allegiance. A girls glee club organized September 3 lists participating sopranos second sopranos and altos. Six names from the list may become a sextet. A group of twelve boys under Mrs Moore organized for the year with bass tenors listed.

Memorial fund drive for Loras College area
The Rev. Francis L. Schuh named director of St. Lucas area for a $500,000 Loras College Memorial Expansion campaign. In October, fund raising will support a memorial library and student union honoring Catholic WWII servicemen and Loras alumni.
