Country Cousins 4 H Club met Saturday afternoon Sept 5 at the home of Mrs Bur dette Sebastian with Patty Mitts as hostess Zoe Ann Dibble called the meeting to order Fifteen members attended including Diane Elaine Pauline Ammund son Diane Jeanine Clark Jane Anderson D Len Krueger Debbie Aanes Nancy Susan Nelson Roberta Sonja Paul son Ann Nelson Patty Mitts and Zoe Ann Dibble. A vegetable I would like to learn to like was the roll call. The club discussed selling Toy Parade items to raise money and awards were given for blue and purple ribbons in the vegetable cookery and record books launch was served.

Former Resident Dies in Colorado
Henry R. C. Rasmussen 84 of rural route 2 Longmont Colorado died at Eventide Rest Home after a 15 month illness. A retired farmer he spent his early life in Iowa moving to Longmont in 1902. He lived with his brother Elmer and had been in the rest home 14 months. A Bethlehem Lutheran Church member he survived by his brother and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday August 31 at 2 p.m. in Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Sather officiating. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery. In Iowa he farmed near Clermont Castalia on the Herbert Schroeder farm.

Obituary for Leo H. Larson
Leo H. Larson born August 21 1907 on his grandfather’s farm near Clermont died Friday August 28 at University Hospitals Iowa City after a period as patient. He married Johanna Nesvik of Ossian July 20 1931 and had one son Adrian with four granddaughters. Survivors include his wife, son and spouses, a brother Clifford and sister Gladys, with a large network of relatives. Funeral services were held September 1 at West Clermont Lutheran Church led by Pastor Roger Peterson.
