Two in One Egg Split Hatches Mystery Near West Union
Willard Martin, resident two miles southeast of West Union, brought a giant white egg to the Union office. It opened at one end to reveal another perfectly formed white shelled egg inside. Martin said the egg came from a White Leghorn hen. Meanwhile at Iowa Falls a flag lowering ceremony was cut short by strong wind that snapped the rope from the ground crew, forcing a restart after the wind died.
