Venus and Astrea Return to Rumford House
In a colonial dawn of fortunes, Venus and Astrea return to the Rumford plantation. The party travels through a shaded avenue to a house where Cybele and Saturn prepare a kitchen supper as Venus reassures Astrea. The scene shifts to a domestic reunion with Aunt Cy Dela and Marie Rumford’s sale echoes.
