Fragrant goods and photos lure Elgin shoppers
Local ads tout perfumes, soaps, clothing and groceries from Finke’s Drug Store, Capper & Shaffer, Knudtson & Halverson, Haug & Rowland and others. Photographs by G D Cook are promoted, with guarantees, while Hartwig’s Long Balsam claims cures for coughs and colds. Social events and political notes fill the page amid purchases and sales.
