Clermont bridge club closes summer with luncheon and games
The Clermont bridge club held its final summer session gathering Tuesday with a luncheon at the Rex Hotel in West Union hosted by the losers who entertained the winners. Prizes were awarded for highest score as the group then played cards at Mrs. Carr’s home. Several local residents visited family and friends over the weekend, and George W. Larson suffered a severed finger tip in a corn binder accident. A lighthearted anecdote about a horseback ride ends with a quip about hay being hard.
