Two Spencer Firms Get Sewerage Contracts
Five young men driving a car with a Texas license came to El gin Tuesday morning and made an application for blue cards permitting them to canvass the town for magazine subscriptions. They were turned down by the committee which felt that they wouldn't want to expose townspeople to the annoyance of having their homes invaded by a group of these salesmen who are usually of the high pressure type and can't take no for an answer. Your local committee has saved the townspeople considerable annoyance, and money too, by this blue car system. Remember, always ask for their blue card if any ped dler calls at your home or business place.
