Infant Gunder News Gary Lee Baptized at Marion Church

Gary Lee Landsgard infant son of Mr and Mrs Gordon Landsgard was baptized Sunday at Marion Church with sponsors Mr and Mrs Morris Landsgard Gerwaldine Landsgard and Clarence Amundson. Families and guests joined a dinner after services including Rev S J Strandford and relatives. Local visitors and dinner guests noted from Nora Spring Decorah and numerous Landsgard and Reierson relatives at multiple homes this week.

1953 Auto Plates On Sale December 1

Town will issue two license plates for all cars and trucks starting December 1 1953 The white plate will carry The Corn State at the bottom and numbers will be slightly reduced The Class A sticker for three tons or less is dropped but Class B for five tons remains The yellow plates for trucks show only half the annual fee paid with the regular plate issued in June

Forty young people from the Baptist church gathered at the Krueger home north of town Friday evening for an 18 surprise party honoring Edward Krueger. Out of town guests came from Cedar Rapids Greenfield and Cedar Falls.
