Obituary of Francis K Robbihe from Goshen Vermont to Elgin Iowa
Francis K Robbihe born in Goshen Addison County Vermont in 1819 June 26. He moved with parents to Medina Ohio then Jackson County Iowa for six months, later settling in Highland Clayton County Iowa until 1904, then Elgin Fayette County Iowa where he died November 19 1909 at age ninety. He fathered eleven children nine living. wife Robbing preceded him last spring. Short services at home with Rev Draewel, funeral at Iliya church conducted by Revs Lilley and Draewel, burial in Iliya cemetery. He was a respected early resident known for thorough farming.

Obituary and social notes from a small town
Mary Balloch Baldwin died at her home on Wednesday November 24 at 10 50 PM age 92. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 PM at the M E church conducted by Rev Lilley. An obituary will appear in the Eagle next week. Friends surprised Mr and Mrs J Wesley Miller on their 25th wedding anniversary as he butchered that afternoon. Knudtson and family plan Thanksgiving with relatives. Earnest Topp visited his parents Henry Topp and wife. Ralph and Ray DeSart returned from South Dakota after visiting relatives.

C G W Ry Co awarded $400 plus interest for cattle killed on a Great Western trail. Court adjourned with detailed jury lists and witnesses named. Sheriff Clark transported a prisoner to Ft Madison.
