In memory of Anna Marie Weinman wife of John Reinhart who died November 1016 at 3:30 am after lifelong farming years in Clay ton county. Born April 4, 1882 in Canton Berie Switzerland she came to America in 1855. Survived by four of nine children Jacob Reinhart Elikader Mrs J P Meyer Elikader Mrs W E Lang and Mrs F C Miller. brother Andrew Weinman of Bargant Nebraska. fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral Sunday at PF Miller home with Rev Wedel and Rev Edward Grimm officiating. Buried in family lot beside her husband who died in 1903. She was a faithful German Lutheran and devoted mother.

Emma Lorena Berger born 1880 Elgin Iowa died September 26 1916 at her mother's home in Bellingham Washington She was educated at Elgin High School Upper Town University Iowa State Teachers College Wartburg College and taught in Clayton County She worked in the Town Sugar Company and as assistant to the city clerk of Waverly She was active in church choir Sunday school and Christian Endeavor Her body was returned to Waverly for funeral at the Congregational church She is survived by her mother sisters and several relatives Friends from out of town attended the funeral in Waverly Democrat obituary notes she was loved and respected by all and her death casts a shadow of sorrow locally.

Big Riverside project starts on Seventh Street arbor
Fred Schupbach to supervise a $26,000 grape arbor spanning Seventh Street from Orange to the Santa Fe railroad. Spanish Art Society of California, inspired by F A Miller, orders materials. first unit fronts Ward Amstutz Glenn property. Arbor 10 feet wide, uprights 18 feet apart, cross beams every five feet, uprights 17 inches square, hollow with steel reinforcement. Construction to begin at once, taking at least a year, with removal of nearby shacks and eventual shrubbery by fall 1917.
