G O P Makes Clean Sweep Throughout State County
The Fayette county Republicans report a large voter gain and a uniform party ticket across the county. In Pleasant Valley township a tight race saw Phil Meskel edge Klammer by nine votes and Biermann beat Talle by ten as others won by comfortable margins. County offices and district posts show GOP strengths with cross tickets and straight ballots noted. Local reports mention voter totals near 1936 levels and show continued party organization influence.

Roofing Ads and Nonsense Dialogues in The Broadcaster 2
An odd blend of ad copy for Mule-Hide Cor-Du-Roy roofs with free estimates and cheap winter rumpus-room promises, interspersed with disjointed ethnic and gender biased quips and a carnival of short dialogues. The fragment hints at a historical column mix of humor and local business pitches.
