Duck hunting trip ends without birds in Lans ing
Donald C. Dean C. P. Stoehr and F. W. Hughes traveled to Lans ing for a duck hunt but reported no birds in flight. They did bring back a string of black bass. Snow briefly covered the ground Tuesday morning before melting under sun and wind. John Baldwin sold the Elgin residence, known as the Moats place on Pleasant Street, to John Grimm Jr. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hughes visited McGregor and Prairie du Chien, then boarded a train to Chadwick, DL, to their new home. Mildred Harrington stayed home Sunday and is attending Cedar Rapids business college this year.
