Remits $153 Over Our Chest Quota to County Head
Ray DeSart disclosed yesterday that he remitted $1,153.00 to the War Chest headquarters of the county, but he had to dig into our reserve to make the grade. This is slightly over the combined quotas of Elgin and Pleasant Valley. The $123.00 will be left on a credit reserve. It will be remembered that this community had a reserve left over from the scrap drive last year and this was used to make up the deficit. Both town and country subscriptions fell short of the quota.
