Obituary for Mrs Christena Monroe at Castalia
Christena Monroe born January 17 1877 near Castalia daughter of Christina Hendrickson and Mr Hendrickson united in marriage to Hiram Lewis Monroe and had ten children. She lived mostly in the county aside from four years in Grand Meadows Minnesota and died May 14 1959 at age 82 after a heart attack. Survived by sons Earl and Charles and six daughters, 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Interment at Pleasant View Cemetery Castalia with services May 16 at Clermont Methodist Church.

Bob Pouting outing set for Boot Hill Club trip
B and P Women’s Club held a Monday luncheon at Mrs. Aldora Anderson’s home with 21 members attending.
