Tulip Festival Trip For Kittel, Andersons and Schweinerus
Mr and Mrs Clarence Kittel with Mrs Gilbert Anderson and Mrs Henry Schweinerus flew to Pella in a Beechcraft on Thursday to attend the Tulip Festival. Early blooms were damaged by rain but parks yards and city tours offered rich displays. They watched the parade crowning the Queen street cleaning and dancing in wooden shoes, the 45 minute flight left plenty of festival time. The trip honored Mothers Day for Mrs Anderson and Mrs Schweinerus. Mrs Earl Kloster daughter of Mrs Anderson stayed at the Anderson home and cared for the Kittleson children.
