This week’s Senior Spotlight features Vernon Ames of Clermont, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ames. Valley Track Meet Final Scores and Winners
Valley led with 42 points at the Valley track meet held Tuesday May 9. MFL scored 45, Valley 42, West Central 27, Fayette 3. Valley firsts included Karen Olson in the 611-4 yd hurdles with 10.1 seconds, Susan Nelson in the 60 yd dash at 7.3 seconds, Susan also winning the 100 yd dash at 12.9 seconds, and the 220 yd medley relay at 29.5 seconds. Valley achieved multiple firsts in relays and sprints.

Valley athletes set relay records and posted top times at the 7th grade girls and boys meets on May in Valley. The Elgin town council met May 8 1967 with the mayor and all councilmen. A motion by Muchle thaler to approve the resurvey of Schori's Addition and the Surveyor's Certificate and to authorize signing and recording passed.
