Local notices and events mix in Elgin community
A jumble of society notes reports visitors and engagements. Mentioned are Mr Fred Rio Berg fencing a lot on Clermont street, Kate Hushberg moving to Cedar Rapids for work, J. Capper’s store expansion, Japper’s elephant show in Elgin, and wedding news of Clement Natley and Mrs Gunderson’s cousin. Arbor day observances, church renovations, and various social visits fill the page.
