Pipe Dreams and Winter Weather Witty Column
In Rich's Pipe Dreams column readers note a quirky mix of winter observations and social quips. Ern Holzer and D. O. Dean report squirrels relying on cockle burr seeds along Otter Creek. Fred Nydegger recalls an unusually snowbound three years. The piece riffs on government fines, Easter farm tasks, a no spelling contest decision, and lighthearted jokes about marriages, opera, and humor framed by era-typical banter.
