Upper Town and Fayette schools announce the Fayette Critic Music festival set for Thursday March 22 with thirteen northeast Iowa schools entered in boys and girls contests. Contestants from Clermont Elgin Fairbank Farmersburg Fayette Fredericksburg Hawkeye Maynard Stanley Sumner Tripoli Waucoma and West Union will compete. A student lunch is planned for College Hall second floor at noon and an adults lunch in Upper Iowa dining hall. Money talks United States Defense Savings Bonds and Stamps shout Victory.
A training school for Clayton County 4 H officers will be held at the Farm Bureau office in Elkader on Saturday March 24. The program for the coming year will be discussed and officers will receive help and guidance in handling 4 H responsibilities.
