Local families hosted and visited over the weekend with numerous callers and dinners. Notable attenders include Lt. Comd. and Mrs. W. C. Mitchell of Alexandria Virginia, Earl Aanes of Fayette, and Grimes, Schupbach, Kohls, and Dennler families among others in Guttenberg and surrounding areas.
Sunday morning services run 10 15 to 11 30 with Sunday school 10 30 to 11 30. Afternoon services 12 30 to 1 00 followed by song services 1 00 to 2 00. Public is welcome.

Mr and Mrs Robert Howard DeKalb Ill came last Friday called by the death of Harold Sands Yard of Clermont. Mr and Mrs Sheldon Boyle spent Sunday with the Robert Miller family at Oelwein. Mr and Mrs Milo Olson spent the weekend in Chicago and Elgin Ill on a business trip. Mr and Mrs Charles Wenger entertained at a family dinner Sunday for birthdays of Mrs Wayne Gilson and daughter Karen. Other guests were Mr and Mrs Russell Wenger and Steven Wayne Gilson Gary and David and Lynette Jacqueline Jennifer and Michael Schori.
