Winter fire in old school prompts quick response
25 years ago a winter fire alarm was raised at 7 o'clock when Frank Fay saw smoke from the old school building. The department arrived swiftly and extinguished the blaze, thought to have started from a lit cigarette left on a desk during band rehearsal the night before.
