Elgin Echo reports H J Nehring of Fayette County Iowa will seek the Republican nomination for sheriff. He states his name will appear on the June 6 1982 primary ballot subject to Republican voters decision.

Mabel Frieden, student at Cedar Falls, fell ill and went to Charles City to stay with her sister, then returned to Cedar Falls.
