Three Pound Broiler in Ten Weeks
Poultrymen can save and maintain livability in their chicks this year by using vitamin 812 and antibiotics in the feeding ration. Antibiotics such as penicillin and aureomycin save feed and push broilers to market faster, taking about 10 weeks to reach three pounds, versus 12 to 15 weeks with older methods. Production gains stem partly from improved breeding.
