Clermont and Elgin fire departments answered a call to a sawmill shortly after 1 pm on Thursday. Firefighters reported a large blaze. electricity was shut off and the mill was a total loss, though some logs and lumber were saved. Investigators believed the fire began in or near the sawdust.
