District trustees met last Thursday and re elected Geo. Miller as president C. J. Harrington as treasurer and Meleni Luchainger as secretary. The contract for building the new school house in district No 2 near the John Brackin place was awarded to J B Miller.
A farewell party was held at the J. F. Shaffer home near West Union for J. D. Shaffer who left for Ft. Lewis Washington. The Waterloo booster club of Illinois Central employees plans to raise funds to buy an iron lung for the city’s use by infantile paralysis sufferers.
