Elgin High School graduation and picnic reports
Last Friday evening the Elgin High School held its graduation at the German Baptist church before a near capacity crowd of about four hundred. Students spoke, music filled the program, and Principal Schieffelein's farewell addressed the town and school as his tenure ends. The German Baptist Sunday School then hosted a well-attended annual picnic near Bgin with sports, speeches, and a hearty dinner. The page also quotes Benny Tyrrell on a poem from Frank Leslie's Popular Monthly.
