Clermont Clovers Club members led by their leader and several mothers traveled to Cedar Rapids on Tuesday June 17 for a tour of Quaker Oats factory and Sanitary Dairy, followed by a picnic at Ellis Peak and supper at Bishops and enjoyed an interesting day.

Aanes Anfinson June wedding at West Clermont Church
Sunday, June 22, Aanes and Anfinson united in a candle light ceremony at West Clermont Lutheran Church. Miss Jean Aanes, daughter of Lloyd Aanes of Clermont, weds Kenneth Anfinson, son of Otto Anfinson of Ossian, with Rev. J D Kronlokken officiating amid white gladioli, mock orange, peonies, and blue ribbons. The bride wore rosepoint chantilly lace and nylon tulle, carried white delphiniums and delphiniums, and shared a reception in the church parlors. The couple will reside on the Lloyd Aanes farm after a trip to northern Minnesota and Canada. The groom is a former MSP veteran now employed at the Ossian Corp.

Anna Osland Fairchild, born June 20, 1925 in LeRoy Minnesota, died June 17 at Cresco hospital. She married Glenn Fairchild April 1, 1945 and lived on the Fairchild farm. Survived by husband, four children Gene Patricia Audrey Rebecca, one sister, four brothers and many relatives. Funeral at Chester United Lutheran Church with graveside at Chester Hill cemetery.
