Bible study Circle Agnes and Esther Circle met at church with leaders Mrs. Lee Palmer and Mrs. Lyle Olson. fifteen members were present. Layette is nearly completed.
A party including Mrs John Barnhouse and Johonie Paul visited Chambersburg and Gettysburg, traveling June 4 to 21. They toured the Transportation and Industry Building, saw Wright Brothers and Lindbergh artifacts, the Natural History Museum, and Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address site. They also viewed the Unknown Soldier’s Grave and Washington Monument, with stops at Lincoln birthplace and Buchanan's birthplace.
The Clermont Commercial Club met on June 15 with 14 members present. Elmer Olson presided as president and committees for the upcoming year were appointed, including Finance by Griebenow and Guyer, and others by Stumme Gunderson Woods and Kohis. The meeting covered the Bridge program, river dam repairs, and a town council request to curb reckless driving.

Mr and Mrs Lawrence Kohls hosted a Fathers Day dinner for guests including Mr and Mrs Lanee Mee es and Arles Kohls plus Wenite and Suzette.
Robert Kittelson, a former submariner from Charles City, participated in a ceremony marking the 100th dive of the USS Barracuda off Guantanamo Bay. The event commemorates the Navy’s first submarine built for detecting and destroying enemy subs, with Kittelson hailed as a longtime anti submarine specialist.
East Clermont Ir Lutheran Junior Lutherans gathered Thursday June 14 with Elsie Hanon presiding. Devotions by Mike Cooley, missionary study by Mrs Bokene, hymn by Lofts. Pvt La Verne L Nims son of Mr and Mrs Frank Nims Jr of Clermont completed advanced training as a cannoneer at the Army Artillery and Missile Center Fort Sill Oklahoma on June 11 He entered the Army last January and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri before his Fort Sill assignment The 22 year old is a 1960 graduate of Valley High School.

St Ann's Circle met at Mrs Geo Larson's home. Rev Thomas F Currier spoke on new CCD study methods and fall projects. A general church cleaning is set for Wednesday afternoon June 24 with four ladies from each circle. Meeting closed with a prayer.
