Hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If your 1946 48 license number is under 500 000 keep it, else renewal is required for those with July 6 1948 or later birthdays during the 30 day pre renewal window. Bring the 1946 48 license. duplicates via county sheriff if missing. Do not seek a duplicate if license suspended.
April reports reveal Iowa traffic records with 2,772 accidents and 6,810 drivers involved. There were 32 deaths and 1,154 injuries statewide. District No. 10 records show one death and property damage totaling 898,605 across 169 crashes affecting 400 drivers. Dubuque county led district damage at 28,225 and county figures include Allamakee 4,355 Buchanan 8,825 Clayton 8,165 Delaware 16,630 Fayette 12,640 Winneshiek 19,765.

Gilbertson born December 21 1873 in Marion township Clayton county died June 14 1948 at Postville hospital aged 74 He married Berthine Buroden December 22 1893 and lived on a farm near Elgin He survived by his widow five children Pauline Mrs Alfred Walterson Olga Mrs Michael Blockhus Alice Mrs Clifford Kittelsen Hilder and Millard nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren four sisters and one brother He was treasurer of East Clermont church active in community a Elgin school board director of Elgin Co operative Co Marion Telephone Co Funeral services were held at East Clermont Lutheran Church with burial in its cemetery. Relatives and friends attended from distant points.

The secretary's report was read and approved. A picnic is planned for Rally Day in El Kad er on June 8. Demonstrations on strawberry preparation by Mrs Otto Gisleson Marilyn and Shirley West. Corrine Rypestol spoke on annoying personal habits Ida Mae Hanson gave a tale on table setting. Two club songs pledges and the 4-H pledge were sung. Hostesses served lunch.
