Insect Poison From Roots Cube Definition
Insect Poison From Roots Cube is a plant whose roots yield a high percentage of a poison used in the manufacture of insecticides. Chas Busse, 60, of Rowley, was killed Sunday when he slipped and fell 100 feet at Pike's Peak at McGregor. Town spent a million dollars on its primary roads during May. Most of it went for construction and about one fifth for maintenance, Martin Nelson and H. E. Lands gard of Clermont, drove through here Monday noon on their way to the 4th district Legion convention at Elkader. They said they expected a number of others from their town to attend the evening session. The United Conference of Mayors frowns upon local communities paying 40 per cent of WPA project costs, liable to do so. They want Uncle Sam to pay the bill. Apparently they never heard of Theodora Roosevelt who said: "I'll pick a man up, but I'll be damned if I'll carry him." Nolan Bros of Minneapolis are scheduled to start work on highway 13 on July 1. They will surface this highway with stabilized base from the paving junction south of Waukon to the Yellow River bridge north of Marquette. The job is expected to last 100 days and 76 men will be employed.
