A damaged description details a small electric motor inside a box driving a mechanism that shapes shadows onto a screen. Inventor G Branda Jenkins created the lamp that converts radio waves to light and use of a Wheatstone bridge principle to amplify slight voltage changes into image display.
A described technique uses a variable resistance connected across the secondary of transformer stages to achieve smooth volume control in amplifiers. The diagrams illustrate how impedance changes allow gradual adjustment without abrupt changes in output level.
The description notes a transformer connected to the tube grid with an alder arm. It mentions impedance or resistance amplifiers using a variable resistance around 0.5 megohm as a replacement for grit leak, referencing devices such as the Centralab modulator.
A thirteen year old boy from Northfield Minnesota walked forty miles to Minneapolis to meet radio singer Jack Little of WOOO. He fainted from exhaustion upon arrival at the Wood studios and received medical aid from Announcer Paul Johnson. The boy, whose father is Richard Davis, said he and friends argued about Little’s appearance and decided to seek him out firsthand. He began his trek on Saturday with limited funds, walking when necessary and hitching rides otherwise.
Guidance on antenna insulation and solder joints, ground rods, and avoiding distortion from transformers. Notes that signals fade with distance and that noisy interference often stems from inexperienced operators using regenerative receivers. Emphasizes solid tube contact and proper antenna and ground spacing to reduce noise.
When selecting tubes for impedance coupled audio and radio amplifiers, system gain relies on the tube amplification constant. Standard tubes around eight yield suboptimal results. using high amplification tubes such as Al-Mu or other high constant varieties provides greater amplification. Tubes achieving amplification constants near 20 are now available.
To get low waves when your set won t tune to the short wavelengths, disconnect the aerials at the point where it enters the house and use an antenna on the remaining section. This cuts the fundamental wavelength of the antenna system, which also includes the ground.
A talking pig named Junior Bacon tries to nap near a sleepy cat in the barnyard. The cat resists but Junior Bacon warns away a hungry song sparrow, saving the birds from danger while arguing about chatter and baths.
A fragment shows a humorous exchange about a missing item called a Goggle and a reading impediment. Petty worries arise as a suggestion to place a want ad is offered, implying a lighthearted domestic moment. The dialogue hints at small-town life and comic misunderstanding.
A brief note describes a mother and child scene where Johnnie reassures his mother that the object seen is harmless. The baby apparently has a safety pin in his mouth, but reassurance follows that there is no danger. The source presents a domestic vignette with a light, all is well tone.
A short dialogue fragment shows a girl telling her mother about a party while mentioning Uncle Dick and a phrase Curse You Bhali Mot Ring Tonight. The scene hints at family chatter and a whispered plan.
A menu of frozen treats and chocolate desserts with methods for making velvet sherbet strawberry ice cream and various chocolate creations. Instructions cover fruit juice freezes, milk bases, sugar syrups, and serving tips to improve texture and flavor.
