Elgin Iowa Considers Northwestern Bell Franchise Election
The Town Council of Elgin Iowa orders a special election on July 10 1952 to decide granting Northwestern Bell Telephone Company a 25 year right to occupy streets and public places for a local telephone and telegraph system. Ordinance 184 sets three free telephone stations and election costs borne by the company.
