Fragmented lines mention ads and display terms with unclear names and prices. The readable bits indicate weekly listings or notices but lack coherent events or identities to form a full item.
Clermont week features visitors J C Halverson and R P Straud home calls. Cartoonish ads and hints of summer plans fill the column. A promotion explains that sharpening lawn mower blades by power grinding yields a longer lasting edge. It argues files and emery methods ruin blades, reduce clearance, tear grass, and make mowing harder, urging use of the machinery for a precise, durable edge.
Local shop offers mower sharpening to improve cutting quality. Bring in your dull blade and receive a refreshed edge aimed to satisfy customers. If not satisfied, a refund is suggested as part of the offer.
The Fayette County Masonic picnic will be at Wea Union fair grounds on Friday June 20 with Rev Daniel Hogan of Clinton to deliver the principal address.
