Mrs Ea DeSart Ella May Pinney, born 1859 near Hopkinton New York, died in Mason City on Sunday June 10 at eighty six. She moved with her parents to Elgin 73 years ago, married Mathew DeSart in 1872, had two children who died in infancy, and was widowed five years ago. Survived by sister Mrs James Riles Muscatine and brother Elmer C. Pinney Elgin, plus nieces and nephews. Body came from Mason City to Elgin Cemetery for burial with committal by Rev P F Zosichke and pallbearers named.
