Scout bombers leave Floyd Bennett for Buffalo plant
Three of nine United States Naval Reserve scout bomber airplanes departed Floyd Bennett Airport in Brooklyn last week for Buffalo New York where Curtiss-Wright will camouflage them before sending them overseas. Each two piece bomber carries pilot and observer and uses a 1900 bhp cycle engine, valued at about 5000. The move aims to camouflage and equip the planes for overseas service.
