Roy O'Brien born and raised on the Roy Learn farm died suddenly at his St. Paul home. Survivors include his wife Avey and many in Clermont and West Union vic inity. He was a Clermont Enterprise subscriber to stay in touch with friends here.
Birthday party for Louise Bilden was held with Mrs Amy Hovland and Mrs Olson in attendance. Clara and Myrtle Peter assisted as hosts, celebrating with neighbors and relatives.
Dennis Olson and David from Sheehan Legion unit will join Valley High School seniors at Boys State this week. More than 760 boys are registered for the event and counselors from Alley High and Clermont Chib will accompany them.
Five clans of Chenmont 1048 plan a high Se gathering Saturday evening June 27. A picnic dinner Sunday noon at Clermont City Spark for families. Attendees should inform Mrs. Weane if they can attend.
Sunday morning rites were held for Sheree Riley with baptism conducted by Pastor ien. Mrs. Clea Rodberg of New Hampton and Mrs Vasby attended. Grandmother Sheree LaVerne At berg and Bethel Staphen of New Hampton joined the family in a post service dinner honoring the occasion.

The Clermont County 4-H club met Saturday at Zoe Ann Dibble's home. Zoe Ann demonstrated bread making, D Lene Krueger demonstrated cake making, and Patty Gunderson demonstrated muffin making. Next meeting plans include an all day barbecue at the Gunderson home with members bringing meat and potatoes.

The West Clermont ALCW general meeting was held Wednesday with Circle members including Mesdames Gilbert Anderson William Burrow Sig Hope Orville Nuehring William Nelson Clarence Thorson and Miss Anna Mae Nelson. Gifts were received in memory of Clara Gress and L T Olson from Mrs Mayme Wise and Trinity Lutheran Church San Gabriel choir. Contributions were led by Mrs William Nelson Jr with hymns prayers and group activity followed by the Lord's Prayer.
Seventeen students completed the Civil Defense Adult Education course at Valley Junior High School Clermont. Taught by James A. Cook, the program titled Living in the Nuclear Age ran May 10 to June 5 with two sessions per evening.
Ed Guinn died Monday morning at Postville Community Hospital after a week of hospitalization. He is survived by one sister Elizabeth. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Peter Church with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery. The obituary will be published next week. Mrs. Bess Blake left for Dubuque to visit Monday in the R. W. Steele home. they planned Chicago trip for a week at the Lake Short Hotel. Donna Aldrich, Cherri Macill, June Jeide, Marybell Benson of Decorah and Virginia Olson visited in the Burdette Sebastian home Sunday.
Cler mont Lutheran parish led by Pastor Roger W Peterson lists upcoming events at East and West locations including church council meetings on June 9 and 12, worship services June 10 and 14, Vacation Bible School program with coffee hour, and a slo pitch softball game on Sunday June 14 at 2:00 pm at Clermont Ball park. The Brotherhood convention is set for Fort Dodge on June 12 and 13, with notices inviting participation from interested players and contact points Mark Amundson and Harold Hangon.

Pvt. Ordell Kjosa is assigned overseas duty in Germany and will depart Port Dix New Jersey in June after basic training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri and further training at Fort Lee Virginia. He was inducted November 12 1963 and is the son of Mr and Mrs Harris Kjosa. A 1959 Valley High School graduate he helped in the Kjosa Sand and Gravel business and D X Service Station before enlistment.

The West Clermont Lutheran vacation Bible school closed on Friday June 5 with closing exercises at 10 30 and a noon picnic dinner. A mission offering was taken for the India mission. A total of 114 children were enrolled for the two weeks of school.
