The Pleasant Valley Sharpshooters met at Richard and Jimmy Fried s home on May 28 with all members present. Guest Chuck Zweibahmer attended. Plans were set for entertainment at the June Farm Bureau meeting and a 4-H club tour on June 25. The club will form a 4-H softball team and Duane Engelhardt was chosen to attend the Boys 4-H short course at Ames June 19 to 21. Carlton Krueger, reporter.

Social Security Benefits Rise in Fayette County
Fayette county residents totaling 1 037 received 48 327 monthly federal old age and survivors insurance benefits under the Social Security Act as of December 1955, up 24 percent from 1954. SSA representatives will visit West Union Court House on June 3 from 10:00 a m to 12:00 noon to assist filings for benefits, cards, and employer identification numbers.
