Elgin Echo notes local events and ads in July
The Elgin Echo lists community notices and ads from Elgin and nearby towns. Headlines include shopping bargains at Berg & Co, church and family visits, agricultural tips, a big Chautauqua program in West Union, and J. D. Chunn's Uncle Tom's Cabin appearing in Elgin on Friday July 28. The piece mixes society notes with minor incidents, weather impact on crops, and municipal promotions.
