The annual Cook reunion gathered 52 attendees at the Wenger home in Waverly on Sunday July 18. Present were Clyde Wenger and family from Fairbanks Alaska. James Cook from Coralville. William Cook from Iowa City. Deanna Mitchell from Mason City. Dennis Cook from Waterloo. Margaret Wolf from Dubuque. Andrew Brackin and family from La Porte City. Ron Brandt and James from Waukon. and other relatives including Mary and lim, Becky, Kathy, and Bruce.
A community reunion notes attendees including Wirter Ines Brackin Monona Mary Pat Greene Bet yerdoet Ms Wenger and others. Since the last gathering there was one death Reuben Wirkier Monona and a birth Jimmy son of Ron wrens Nancy Wirkler at Wau Bar.
Diana Sue Barker of Tacoma and A 2c Dean Edward Jennings of McChord AFB wed July 15 in a 6:00 p.m. ceremony at McChord Lutheran Chapel. Chaplain Gerald Marshall officiated. Attendants included Ph. LaVerne Nims and a Washington friend. The couple, graduates of Valley High School, plan to reside in Tacoma after a wedding trip to Olympia.
Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs John J Schaer and Louise included James Schaer and Martha Wagner from Des Moines, Mr and Mrs Jessie Guyer of West Union, and Mr and Mrs Fred Schaer with Mary Ann and Martha.
Mr and Mrs George Vaughn visit with Mr and Mrs Herold Paffett in Strawberry It and Mrs Gladys Reeder in Flomaton Ala. Florence Adrea joins them after visiting Waukegan Ill. Harvey Paulsen hosts relatives in Postville and Ray Chapman home hosts. Otis Torkelson and Wm Moore families spend Sunday at Ewala camp Strawberry Point. George Howard Jr family and Virgil Weidemeyer dine with Donald Page in Denver Oran area. Donald Schultz family joins for supper. Glen Reierson Becky travel to spend days away. Cecil Abel returns to work after a burn accident. Grant Schultz and Keith Kohler attend Minneapolis baseball game. Inez Brackin visiting Rochester Minn with Agnes Gilson and Charlotte Conner. Mike Dinan visits Leonard Heins. Alice Winkler spends Sunday with Thomas Howard and Charlotte Conner.
