Town Council Proceedings July 6 1866
Town Council met at the town hall with mayor and councilmen presiding. Frieden led a motion to purchase 266 inch letters from Martin Sign Co for 78 dollars for a library and city hall sign. Fire Chief Earl Lembke presented equipment needs and costs, with a nozzle and hoses approved for immediate purchase and a 24 inch hose for later delivery. Building permits issued to four residents. Various bills audited and paid, including legal services, insurances, utilities, and salaries. A special meeting was scheduled for July 19 to discuss the tax budget.
