Dennler last Thursday evening. Eddie Rodmer, Mickey Steele, Eleanor Walters and Lucille Kregel of Detroit visited in the Jake Dennler home. Emma Reinhart of Waukon spent Saturday night with John R Schmid. The Ern Lerch family spent Sunday evening with the Jake Butikofer home. Will Christen assists on the Pat Minthan farm. Ervin Metzger spent Sunday and Monday with cousin Reuben Metzger. The Sam Butikofer family entertained relatives at Pigale Monday. Rose Friederich visited Sunday Monday in Paul Bos’ near Garnagillo. The Provincetown memorial honoring the Mayflower voyage was unveiled on August 5, 1910. A granite monument, 254 feet high, was erected by the United States, Massachusetts, and the Pilgrim Memorial Association of Provincetown to mark the Mayflower voyage memorial.
Mr F O Roberts minister of pensions received an inscribed grain of rice in a glass tube with a magnifying glass from a museum in Delhi. The inscription reads May God bless a long, happy, and prosperous life.
