Clermont Town Council Proceedings January 7 1952
The regular meeting of the Clermont town council led by Mayor Will J. Nelson included present members Thoma Riegel Paulson and Griebenow with Appelman absent. Bills were approved for payment including fuel labor and utilities for the tractor truck park and street lights. Elgin Echo and state treasurer charges were recorded and the December salary for Geo Durscher was paid. Elmer Olson read the annual report and it was approved. Adjournment followed. Local news covers community gatherings and a baptism at West Clermont Lutheran Church with multiple families and guests attending. An egotist is a fellow who is always ME-deep in conversation.

Sunday School Picture Sparks Boy’s Moral Dilemma
A Sunday school teacher shows a depiction of a Christian martyr in a den of lions. A nervous boy comments on the lion in the back, noting it isn’t getting any. The exchange reflects a child’s uneasy reaction to the graphic scene.
