Mrs. John Scheidegger Dies At 70 In Elgin Area
Word reached our city that Mrs. John Scheidegger died at the county home Tuesday morning. Her remains were brought here Wednesday and funeral services were held at the German Baptist church. Interment followed in Elgin cemetery. She was 70 years, 6 months and 21 days old and had lived near Elgin since immigrating in 188L. She and her husband were married 37 years and were cared for at the county home since last fall. She is survived by her husband and several relatives.
