Grimms and Buthhofer Sale Draws Big Crowd in Snow
Despite zero weather and deep snow the Grimm & Buthhofer sale attracted a large crowd. The Holstein dairy herd around Elgin sold to neighbors with Wilt Bauhaus of Oakville among top buyers. H. S. Groth & Son bought the top cow at 175 dollars. Twenty one cows averaged 104.40 dollars, and overall market activity highlighted the value of testing and cooperative dairy farming.
