Utilities section lists cash on hand January 1 1961 and year end December 31 1961 balances 2 365 63 and 3 003 92.
The Clermont Iona town council met at noon with Mayor Will J Nelson presiding. Officials sworn in were Mayor Nelson and councilmen Riegel Griebenow Johnson Nygaard and Tague. Read and approved bills totaling 5 349 55 with multiple vendors listed including Interstate Power Co and Matt Parrott and Sons. Committee appointments announced and annual report approved. Establishing committees for Health Finance Street Parks Water Weed and Hospital addresses listed for residents Milard Bid en and Esther Carlin noted.

St Ann s Circle of St Peters Parish met Tuesday at 8 with 11 members. Officers for 1962 were elected: president Mrs Donald Murphy and secretary trea Mrs Burkard Riegel. Outgoing officers Mrs George Larsen and Mrs Robert Skelton were thanked. Guest Mrs Kate Hitch of Brainard attended. Next meeting will be at Dennis Bear home with Mrs Bear hosting.
