Students recount a school speech event where sixteen of twenty-one entries earned supers. Mrs Meskel receives thanks for coaching, with remarks about pride and upcoming contests. The report highlights enthusiasm, timing, and the team’s performance as a morale boost for the high school.
Freshman notes cheer Gary Gilson returning after a broken ankle and crutch use. Class activities include algebra word problems and dictionary work. Second grade Friday afternoon brought cheer as a playful scene with toy Cupid arrows flicking about the room. Students laughed and joined in the lighthearted activity, ending with smiles and happy chatter.
A first grade class and kindergarten report on Valentine day activities. Students mailed and opened valentines, played games, and enjoyed treats from visiting mothers. Lessons covered presidents Lincoln and Washington and a dairy unit. Kindergarten made bear themed kerchief borders and baskets for nuts and candies during Elgin visits.
