Boles Capper born Oct 91 1989 near Elgin son of Thomas J and Emmeline Shaffer Capper died in St Petersburg Florida Wednesday February 15 aged 54. He served in WWI as a lieutenant, married Frances Benson in 1919, owned a chicken hatchery at Postville, served as Postville postmaster, and was active in the local business and veterans communities. Funeral held at Schutte funeral home Postville with military rites, survivors include widow Frances and siblings. Card of Thanks expresses gratitude for support after loss. Over grazing and grazing over too long a season cause serious deterioration of pastures.
Miss Wirley Gene Bailey of Cedar Rapids and Corp Walter M Bovis of Elgin were wed in a candle light double ring ceremony at St Pauls Methodist Church Cedar Rapids. Attendants included Miss Musel and Miss Grimes with George Bovis as best man. A reception followed and the couple left for a brief wedding trip.
