Phillips and Bliss Benson were summoned from Pleasant Valley township as superior court jurors for the March and April terms.
County Attorney candidate L H Sanford of Oelwein announces candidacy for the Republican nomination in Fayette County at the June 1934 primaries. He declares a political slogan about banking and truth, reflecting campaign rhetoric.

Reports from County Recorders state many people buy hunting and fishing licenses after January 1 thinking they gain a full year. The Fish and Game Dept notes licenses begin April 1 and expire March 31 the following year. Licenses bought now cover through March 31, 1984.
